Definitely the best book I've ever read on dog origins and behaviour by Ray Coppinger. Ray has a unique view on his subject matter gained from many years of research with a wide range of dog breeds.
My wife Kathy, 4 children and I live in a small
village called Seal near Sevenoaks in Kent, England.
Tia was bred by Janet Finlay, and Sophie was a rescue maremma. She
suffered an injury to her tongue as a puppy and no-one else seemed
prepared to offer her a home. She had also been very badly looked
after and was covered in urine when we first got her home - very
unusual for a Maremma!
The pictures were taken in our garden early 1999.
We live on 4 acres although we don't do much with it, just a few
vegetables, and the dogs get the run of the place.
