image of the book dogs by Ray Coppinger, a book abour canine behaviour, canine origin, and how to train your dog

Definitely the best book I've ever read on dog origins and behaviour by Ray Coppinger. Ray has a unique view on his subject matter gained from many years of research with a wide range of dog breeds.

Well worth the read!

Aminta was born in September 1999, and this photo was taken when she was about 4 weeks old and still living with her mum Briana who lives with Katrina Jeffery (was Sommers) in Australia. She survived her long plane flight without any problems settled very happily into life in Hawaii with Annette and family.

Aminta at 6 years old in her favourite sitting position. Aminta is now a general farm companion (she was originally a chicken guardian) and would rather stay inside in the air conditioning all day with Annette! She will hide if she thinks she is being put out, but then a bit later will be asking to go out. I think it's because she just likes to decide when SHE wants to go out - Little Miss Queen of Hawaii!
